This is a personal project inspired by the legends of Camelot, King Arthur, and Arthur's wife Guinevere. The figure in this painting possesses a certain melancholy beauty that I find very intriguing. I wanted her to convey sorrow, hope, and a resigned contentment all in one. And I leave it up to the viewer to guess who she's waiting for to return. King Arthur, or Sir Lancelot?
